The 20th Century to Open Coffee Shop
20th Century to Open Coffee Shop
On November 1st, 20th Century will establish Kissa Nijusseiki, a coffee shop, on the first basement level of the CORAL Building in the Jingumae district of Tokyo.
Due to the dwindling popularity of this type of coffee shop in Japan, the group decided to open the kissaten-inspired coffee shop. Because Kissaten are family-run companies with aging proprietors and dilapidated structures, they have been declining. As kids, 20th Century adored kissaten and wanted to preserve them for the future. This concept has been under development since the summer of 2021. In fact, they have taken control of a kissaten and revived it.
