01. METALI!! (feat. Tom Morello)

A new single by the Japanese pop-metal band BABYMETAL called “Metali!!” was just published. Guitarist Tom Morello of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE made a guest appearance on the song. This is the first song released by the resurrected BABYMETAL, which now consists of Momometal, Su-Metal, and Moametal. This fast-paced song was written with the idea of the band’s supporters forming a circle at a summer event held in a metal village.

“I am a big fan of BABYMETAL, a band that is both power rocking and constantly surprising with dizzying musical twists and turns,” said Tom Morello in regards to the new song and cooperation. I’ve been attempting to collaborate with them for a while, and when they sent me the “Metali!” demo, I was confident that I could rock that shit like crazy.

The newly released “Pink Tape” album by international rap sensation Lil Uzi Vert, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, includes a song by BABYMETAL.

Momoko Okazaki, often known as Momometal, joined BABYMETAL as a new third member in April of last year.

Following the departure of one of BABYMETAL’s founding members, Yuimetal, in October 2018, Okazaki joined the group of backup dancers known as the “Avengers” (together with Kano Fujihira and Riho Sayashi) in 2019.

Momoko’s inclusion in BABYMETAL was revealed at the group’s performance at the Okazaki, Japan’s Pia Arena MM.

Momoko was once a member of SAKURA GAKUIN and participated in South Korean reality TV show “Girls Planet 999” as a contestant. However, the singer left the series after the show’s first elimination round.

In 2018, BABYMETAL announced the departure of Yuimetal, who was formerly one of the members of the Japanese group’s core trio. She exited the band, explaining in a statement that she would go on to pursue a solo career as Mizuno Yu.

[Single] FLOW – Silhouette

BABYMETAL was formed in 2010. Their mission was to unify the world through heavy metal by creating a fusion of heavy metal and the Japanese pop genre. Their music contains a stunning mix of electronic pop, a pinch of alternative and industrial rock, and is leveled up by fast-driven heavy metal. Their live shows are ground-breaking and epic visual as well as sound performances. BABYMETAL continued to travel the path of metal with the international release of their three albums, telling the story of the mighty Fox God and his brave metal warriors.

In Japan, a book titled “Bessatsu Kadokawa Souryoku Tokushuu” about the first ten years of BABYMETAL was published in October 2020. It includes a lengthy interview with Su-metal and Moametal, as well as previously untold tales from the band’s producer Kobametal about the band’s ten-year history. It also includes images from live performances, a conversation between Demon Kakka and Kobametal, and much more.

The Other One, the most recent concept album from BABYMETAL, was released in March.

With support from virtuoso guitarist Jason Richardson, BABYMETAL will launch a co-headlining tour later this month with DETHKLOK, the on-screen heavy metal band and stars of Adult Swim’s “Metalocalypse.” The 29-date “Babyklok” tour, which is being organized by Live Nation and marks BABYMETAL’s return to the country since before the epidemic, will begin on August 30 in Houston, Texas, and stop in a number of other cities before closing off on October 11 at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles. The tour will accompany the band’s new concept album, “The Other One,” which was released recently.
