Japanese rock power trio Back Number unveil a brand new single dubbed – “Kaiju no Size”.

Back Number (バックナンバー, Bakku Nambā) is a Japanese rock power trio that was created in 2004. Iyori Shimizu (lead vocals and guitar), Kazuya Kojima (bass guitar and backing vocals), and Hisashi Kurihara (drums) make up the band. In 2009, the band signed to the independent record company Idolsmith Recordings and released their debut EP Nogashita Sakana (, Fish Set Free) (2009) and their studio album Ato no Matsuri (, Too Late) (2010). In 2011, they signed with Universal Sigma.

The group’s biggest hit is “Christmas Song” [ja], which topped the Japan Hot 100 chart for three weeks and was later certified million by the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Encore (2016), their first compilation album, debuted at number one on the Billboard Japan Hot Album chart for two weeks in 2016 and ranked fifth on the Oricon yearly best-selling album chart in 2017.

Back number successfully completed a Dome Tour named “stay with you” in 2018, which included a two-night concert at Tokyo Dome. All tickets for the five shows were sold out in less than two hours, with over 45,000 people attending each concert.
