The annual MTV VMAs are currently scheduled to air on September 12, live from Newark, NJ. The host venue will be the Prudential Center once again, as Nicki Minaj will serve as the host for the evening. Furthermore, she’s also scheduled to perform. Taylor Swift also leads the way with the most nominations this year, with 11. SZA comes in at second, with six.
Meanwhile, MTV has added even more stars to their stacked lineup of performers, for the VMAs. The latest artists included are now Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, per Chart Data. This comes after Cardi released her new “Bongos” single with Megan, on Friday.

The anticipated performances by Cardi and Megan include Bongos and their next mega tune “WAP.” This past week, one of the biggest records of 2020 in the US achieved 8x platinum certification.
The rest of the lineup of performers for the 2019 VMAs is as spectacular in addition to Cardi, Megan, and Nicki. Lil Wayne, Doja Cat, Anitta, Karol G, and many more are also included.
