ClariS – Blue Canvas

Blue Canvas is a brand new song by ClariS, a Japanese pop music duo, that is now available for free download on our platform.

ClariS is a Japanese pop music duo created in 2009 by Hokkaido singers Clara and Alice, who were in junior high school at the time. Between 2009 and 2010, the duo began singing covers and submitting them to the Japanese video sharing website Niconico.

ClariS went on to sign with SME Records and release their debut single “Irony” in October 2010. Between 2011 and 2012, three more singles were released, followed by their debut album Birthday (2012). The Recording Industry Association of Japan gave Birthday a Gold Disc for shipping more than 100,000 copies in a single year.

Between 2012 and 2014, they released six more singles, which were included on their second album Second Story (2013) and third album Party Time (2014). Following the release of Party Time, Alice departed the unit, while Karen joined ClariS in late 2014. ClariS signed with Sony Music Entertainment Japan’s Sacra Music label in 2017.

Oreimo, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Nisemonogatari, Nisekoi, and Eromanga Sensei have all featured ClariS’ music. They’ve also played at the Nippon Budokan and anime music festivals in Japan like Animax Musix and Animelo Summer Live. They made their debut overseas appearance in November 2017 at the Anime Festival Asia in Singapore.
