Budapest, Hungary will host the 2023 World Athletics Championships from August 19–27. The Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, from September 23 to October 8 will come after them. Both events will air on TBS in Japan. It has been revealed that the theme song for both events would be “Seimeitai” by Hoshino Gen.

When asked about his new song, Gen responded that he wants it to be a song that encourages everyone in life during these trying times, not just athletes competing.

The music video for “Seimeitai” was also released on August 14 along with its digital release. Split screens are used in the video. Gen performs in the scenes, together with a range of common individuals going about their daily lives in the present. Asuka Saito, a former member of Nogizaka46, is one of them. In related news, Gen’s conversation show “LIGHTHOUSE” alongside Audrey’s Wakabayashi Masayasu will make its global Netflix debut on August 22. Producing the program is Sakuma Nobuyuki.

He gave the Gen and Masayasu’s unit the moniker “LIGHTHOUSE” in honor of their capacity to illuminate those in need, much like a real lighthouse. The two meet once a month to talk about their daily lives in the six-episode series. “Mad Hope,” the show’s theme tune, was written by Gen. You can hear it in the show’s trailer down below and it features Louis Cole and Sam Gendel!
