NEWS’ Shigeaki Kato to Release New Book Open Social Media Accounts
Shigeaki Kato of NEWS will publish “Nare no Hate,” his newest novel, on October 25. Since publishing “Alternate” in November 2020, he has published only this book. The painting and the characters who come into contact with it are the main subjects of the mystery book.
The locations in the book are Tokyo, Akita, and Niigata. It takes place during the Taisho, Showa before and after the war, and Reiwa eras. The Tsuchizaki Air Raid, one of the last air assaults against Japan during World War II, served as the inspiration for the book. In the book, a TV station employee is looking for information about a painting when he discovers a secret kept by a family in Akita.
