Tory Lanez was formally given a 10-year prison term earlier this month. This occurred after his December conviction for the July 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Tory received a 10-year prison term as a result.

Tory has subsequently been transferred to a prison 120 miles west of Los Angeles that has a reputation for being a hazardous location. This is Delano, California’s North Kern State Prison. Tory has also been totally cut off from the other prisoners. Despite previous accusations that he fears for his life, the Toronto rapper reportedly wants to be a member of society, according to a new story from TMZ.

On Monday, Tory also put out a voice message from prison, to his Instagram feed. There, he explained how he’s in a good place mentally, and isn’t letting being incarcerated break him. Furthermore, he added that new music is on the way. This comes after Tory was recently denied bail, and is still appealing his sentence.

Some of this new music is the deluxe edition to his 2021 “Alone At Prom” album. On this project, Tory experimented with 80s style music, as he’s put out albums of various genres, since 2020.
